More Technology, More Reliability,
More Choices!
Cox Communications Gainesville/Ocala is committed to
providing our customers the very best in programming and in signal quality. We
recently completed a $40 million dollar upgrade allowing us to operate on a
750 MHz broadband spectrum which is fully two-way (allowing signals to be
received by Cox from the customer) and is a hybrid fiber optic/coaxial system.
This upgrade also resulted in:
- The addition of 17 standard channels to
the Cox Basic Lineup.
- The addition of Cox Digital Cable
offering more than 150 channels including five different program tiers,
27 multiplex channels of HBO, Showtime, Cinemax, Starz and Encore, 41
channels of iNDEMAND pay per view movies and events, 45 channels of
digital CD quality music and season ticket packages for NBA basketball,
NCAA football and basketball and NHL hockey.
- The addition of Cox Express high speed
cable modem access available to all Cox customers across the system
The combined capital investment of new plant
build outs, equipment and the upgrade total $75 million spent by Cox
Communications over the past three years in its North Central Florida
system.
